Labor Day Weekend(s)

My first labor day weekend was the only Monday in 2006 I did not have to go for the very-boring maths class in Business School. I really whipped myself for not taking the waiver exam for that class. It was so basic, it was mind-numbing. Needless to say, a very uneventful labor day weekend.

Labor day weekend - 2007, I left for Philly on Friday. I have not seen my shool daughter in almost 10 years, I was really excited and looking forward to the trip. That was my first trip in Philadelphia and there was a wedding the next day. I love weddings!! even after my wedding, I still look at bridal magazines lustfully. Between 2006 labor day and 2007 labor day, I met Elizabeth and she was getting married on that Saturday. We drove to MD from Philly, missed our way a few times and finally got to the wedding late in the day. Got back to New York on Sunday and attended the Caribbean parade on labor day. It was so much fun!! Although the ever-terrified little girl in me prevailed, I left the parade before 6pm. I found out there was a shoot-out shortly after that. Thank God!!

Labor day weekend - 2008, DC ere we come!! Between labor day 2007 and labor day 2008, I have found a job, graduated from B-School, taken the CFA level 1 and started work. My best friend got engaged as well. Another wedding is approaching!! DC was fun, we did the museums and the historic sites. Back to NY on Monday and work the next day.

Labor day weekend - 2009, we went to atlantic city. For the first time since I got to the US, I went to the beach. Won $1.20, saw a circus show and did some crazy shopping. Nice to have a long weekend.
